Experience a day exploring the hidden aspects of Nairobi through the Kibera Slum, known as Africa's largest and friendliest slum. The tour includes visits to Toi Market, an orphanage/school, a bead factory, a typical Kibera house, and The Biogas Center.

What to Expect:
Start Time: The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi at 8:30 AM.
You will travel along Ngong Road, passing Uchumi Supermarket, and turn left next to Nakumatt Supermarket, heading towards Kibera DO headquarters. You’ll then walk approximately three kilometers along the main Kibera slum road.
Visit the Soweto Village homesteads and the Curio Workshop, where you can see how residents create ornaments from animal bones.
Explore local nursery schools and observe daily life as you meet various slum dwellers.
Continue to the Biogas plant, notable for using human waste to produce biogas, which will serve as cooking gas and provide energy for about 200 households once operational.
Visit a community-based school funded by donations, highlighting the educational efforts in Kibera.
After the tour, you will be escorted back to your vehicle and dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or home.
